evening. i'm ann notarangelo. new tonight, a brash home invasion in san francisco. three me with a gun chased a woman into her home near the intersection of 31st avenue and clement street around 6:30. a neighbor tells us when the woman's father got to the house, she screamed, don't come in, don't come in, but it was too late. the robers got away with jewelry, but no one was hurt. >>> oakland police are investigating their third homicide this weekend. the latest happened near jack london square this afternoon. the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. an id has yet to be released. police are still looking for the shooter. >>> a bomb squad blew up a pipe bomb at college park high school this morning. two teens were arrested for possession of explosives and were released into their parents' custody. police say the teens also blew up a mailbox a few blocks away. >>> a supermarket in concord is back open tonight after a hazmat scare. about 20 people complained of a chemical smell and said they felt, quote, weird. the hazmat team could not figure out the source of the smell. >>> in a four

san francisco's sunset district left 8500 people without electricity. it was just one of many areas where trees or power polls brought down electrical lines. >> the latest numbers on outages show a total of 4200 homes without power. 1400 are in the north bay. 900 in the east bay. just under 1200 in the south bay. 700 on the peninsula and just 60 p in san francisco. -- just 60 in san francisco. then the rain ended and it was sunny all afternoon. this is another worry for the coming days as we begin to dry out. the ground is now heavy from all of the water. let's check in with our meteorologist to check on the rain. >> a lot of rainfall that we are talking about. first storm total i am going toy show you, 10.2 inches in napa county. kent field, 9.9 inches of rain. danville you had nearly 8 inches. arinda, 7.24. sanfrancisco, the airport, 4 inches of rain, oakland, 3.5. you get the point, a lot of water falling from the sky. but none tonight. hi-def doplar showing clearing conditions. it will stay clear through the night. heavy rain is done. a clear night. areas of fog developing. so m

to avoid the fiscal cliff. good evening. i'm ann notarangelo. a san francisco woman traumatized after being robbed on the street. she was not injured. and the thief only got a few dollars. but patrick shows us what he took from her was much more valuable than money. >> i heard him say, then i'm going to kill your dog. >> pekingese, 12 years old. sweetest thing ever. >> reporter: she asked not to be named. this woman was robbed yesterday, not only of money, but her best friend roxy, who she loved most on this earth. >> she was my best friend. >> reporter: she had lost her phone in her car, so she parked to look for it at leavenworth and golden gate when a man approached her. >> he said, give me all your money. >> reporter: he then went through her pockets and found only $5. and roxy started barking. >> he said, i'm going to kill your dog. and he grabbed roxy. all of a sudden i see her fly towards traffic. he threw her towards oncoming traffic. >> reporter: roxy was rushed to er but it was too late. >> she was pretty bad. so i had to put her down. >> reporter: michael saw the whole thin

them up. five and a half inches of rain for santa rosa. nearly three for san francisco. more than two for both oabd oakland and concord. heavy rain tomorrow morning. it will be windy, with urban flooding and street flooding likely. flood warnings are in effect for both the napa river and the russian river. details on what happens after this round 3 coming up in a few minutes. >>> paul just showed us no place in the bay area is dry tonight. the peninsula and the santa cruz were some of the areas that saw plenty of rain. a lot of that wet weather. >> reporter: right now it's kind of light so it's kind of hard for the camera lens to capture the raindrops. take a look at this flooded parking lot. i'm standing in a foot deep of water right now. there's simply nowhere for the water to go, and all across the bay area, you'll see a lot of flooded streets and parking lots just like this one here. firefighters pumped water out of this flooded redwood city apartment complex. >> it was up to a foot deep before we got here. we were able to pump it out. >> reporter: they got the water out before it
